     NALS OF OREGON FALL BOARD REGISTRATION

NALS of Mid-Willamette Valley is an association for legal support professionals in the Mid-Willamette Valley area, and is affiliated with NALS of Oregon and NALS, Inc.

Educational lunch forums are held the third Tuesday of the month from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Tiga Sushi & Asian Bistro located at 260 Liberty Street SE, Salem, Oregon (across from the Grand Hotel).  Lunch, including beverage and gratuity, is $15 for NALS members or $18 for non-members.  If you wish to attend or have other questions regarding educational forums, please contact Brenda Collette, PP at 541-410-9552 or email:  blcollette@gmail.com.  She will provide you with a registration form.

Who We Are:

NALS of Mid-Willamette Valley is a non-profit educational association dedicated to promoting continuing education for legal support staff and the growth of professionalism.   Membership is open to anyone employed in the legal field, including legal secretaries, legal assistants, paralegals, court personnel, law librarians, law office administrators, bookkeepers, and receptionists.  Anyone may join who is working under the supervision of an attorney, as well as those employed by government entities (federal, state, county municipal or tribal), bank trust departments and title companies, or enrolled in legal classes.  Student membership is also available for those enrolled full time in legal classes or a course of legal study.  Membership information is available through our local chapter (click on contact) or on-line at www.nals.org.

NALS Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility

Members of NALS, Inc are bound by the objectives of this Association and the standards of conduct required of the legal profession.

Every Member shall:

• ENCOURAGE respect for the law and the administration of justice;

• OBSERVE rules governing privileged communications and confidential information;

• PROMOTE AND EXEMPLIFY high standards of loyalty, cooperation and courtesy;

• PERFORM all duties of the profession with integrity and competence; and

• PURSUE a high order of professional attainment.
